High-Net Worth Investors Transfer $140 Million in Ethereum
Ethereum (ETH) investors with deep pockets have shifted nearly $140,000,000 worth of the leading smart contract platform into prominent crypto exchange platforms like Coinbase, Kraken and OKX. According to data from Whale Alert, a platform dedicated to tracking crypto whale activity, there were three notable instances where high-net-worth traders moved significant amounts of ETH from their wallets into these exchanges.
20k ETH Transferred From Arbitrum To Kraken
In one instance, a whale transferred 20,000 ETH (worth just above $38 million) from layer-2 scaling solution Arbitrum (ARB) to Kraken – a San Francisco-based crypto exchange.
25k ETH Transferred From Unknown Wallet To Coinbase
Another instance saw one high-net-worth trader move 25,264 ETH (worth approximately $48.3 million) from an unknown wallet to Coinbase – the largest US-based crypto exchange platform by volume.
30k Etherum Transferred From Unknown Wallet To OKX
The third occurrence was when a crypto whale repositioned 30,000 Ethereum (worth about $57.7 million) from an unknown wallet to OKX – a Seychelles-based crypto exchange.
$91 Million Withdrawn From Binance Since June 8th
Furthermore, earlier this month data revealed that an ETH whale had withdrawn more than $91 million worth of Ethereum from Binance – the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange platform by volume – since June 8th. The same data also showed that the deep-pocketed trader had also staked around $65 million worth of Ethereum on the platform as well.
